Recurring Jobs

GorillaDesk's robust scheduler allows you to create jobs with any recurring frequency. Recurring jobs automatically generate future job dates when you Complete or Cancel the current job.

  • Daily

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

  • Annually

You can also set the frequency to end Never, After "123" Jobs, or on an End Date.

The flexibility of this recurring system allows you to build out any service type you can think of.

Tips & Tricks

For companies who are seasonal Exceptions allow you to exclude certain months or days of the week from recurring jobs.

  • Month: Select the month(s) in which the recurring job should be skipped.

    Example:

    • Suppose the job is set to repeat Monthly on the 1st Monday.

    • Except > Month: December, January, February.

    • All the months selected will be skipped.

  • Condition: Specify the day of the week and its occurrence in the month (e.g., 1st Monday, 2nd Wednesday) when the job should be skipped.

    Example:

    • Suppose you set a monthly recurring job starting on January 5th.

    • Exception > Condition: 1st Thursday of every month.

    • If the 5th day of the month falls on a Thursday in the first week, the job will be skipped for that month.

  • Frequency: Prevent this job from being scheduled on the same frequency of an existing service. This is useful when a customer has multiple services and you want to avoid having two jobs on the same day.

    Example:

    • A customer has an active Mosquito Service

    • You create a Bed Bug Service that repeats monthly, with an exception set under Frequency > Mosquito Service at Home Location

    • If the Mosquito Service and Bed Bug Service would fall on the same date, the Bed Bug Service will automatically skip that date to prevent overlap.

Recurrence Job Tiles

GorillaDesk automatically generates future recurring jobs for you. These are placed on the calendar as Recurrence status jobs.

Recurrence: A recurring job in the series can be moved on the calendar, but you are unable to work on or edit this job type. All jobs must be toggled to Complete or Canceled for the next recurring service to be generated. At this point, the next service will unlock and become available.

*If you notice your calendar is full of recurrence jobs, this means you have not been closing your jobs completely by elevating them to the Complete or Canceled statuses.

If these are seasonal customers then update the last Active job to a new start date.
