Square Tap to Pay allows merchants to accept contactless payments directly from their iPhone or Android phone using the built-in NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, eliminating the need for separate card readers.
How to use Square Tap to Pay:
Step 1: Square Tap to Pay transactions are conducted entirely through the Square Point of Sale (POS) application. Follow these steps to enable the Tap to Pay option.
Open the Square Point of Sale app.
Go to More (☰) → Settings → Hardware → Tap to Pay on iPhone/Android.
Follow the prompts to enable it.
If the requirements are met, the Tap To Pay Option will be available.
Step 2: Open the GorillaDesk app.
Step 3: Open an invoice and add a payment.
Step 4: Choose a payment method and select "Square API (Scan a card)" from the available options.
Step 5: Tap "Add Payment Using Square API." A pop-up will appear asking, "Open Square to continue?" Tap "Confirm" to proceed.
Step 6: You will be redirected to the Square POS application. Tap the "Tap to Pay" button, then place the card on your device's NFC zone.
Once the payment is completed in Square POS, you will be redirected back to the GorillaDesk app to finalize the transaction.
