If someone types your domain (without the “www”), you can set it up so it automatically redirects to your www version (for example, from yourdomain.com → www.yourdomain.com).
Step 1: Log in to Namecheap
Go to namecheap.com and log into your account.
Step 2: Open Domain Management
From the left sidebar, click Domain List.
Find your domain name and click Manage.
Step 3: Go to Advanced DNS
At the top, click the Advanced DNS tab.
Step 4: Add a Redirect Record
Scroll down to the Host Records section.
Click Add New Record.
Enter the following details:
Type →
URL Redirect RecordHost →
@(represents your domain without “www”)Value →
https://www.yourdomain.com(replace with your actual domain)Redirect Type →
Permanent (301)TTL →
Automatic
Step 5: Save
Click ✅ Save All Changes.
Step 6: Wait for Propagation
It may take a few minutes, or up to 24–48 hours, for the redirect to fully take effect.
✅ What This Fixes
Visitors who type your domain without “www” will automatically be redirected to the www version.
Subpages will also work (for example:
yourdomain.com/contact → www.yourdomain.com/contact).
