This article will teach you everything you need to know about deleting a customer in GorillaDesk.

Deleting a customer without any active jobs

Deleting a customer that does not have any active jobs is very simple and can be done from your customer list on the desktop version of GorillaDesk.

1) Click on Customers to open your customer list.

2) Use the search bar at the top of your customer list to easily find the customer you'd like to delete.

Note: After typing in the customer's name, click the search icon, do not click the name that appears in the drop-down menu.

3) Check the box to the left of the customer's name > Click Action > Delete.

Deleting a customer with an active job

If your customer has an active job, you will receive the following error after following the steps listed above.

Before you can successfully delete the customer, you will need to make sure they currently do not have any active jobs.

Note: An active job is considered an open job on your calendar that is not in Complete or Canceled status.

1) Open the customer's profile > Click on the Jobs tab.

2) If the active job is recurring, you will need to either delete the job or change the job frequency to Does not repeat, then complete or cancel the job.

Deleting a job

You can delete a job by checking the box to the left of the job, then click Delete in the upper left corner of the customer's profile.

If the job has an invoice that is in Sent or Paid status, you will need to delete the invoice or payment (if it's in Paid status) or change the status to Draft (if it's in Sent status).

To delete an invoice, navigate over to the Invoices tab on the customer's profile > check the box to the left of the invoice > Click Delete.

Once deleted, head back over to the Jobs tab > Check the box to the left of the job > Click Delete.

Removing an active recurring job by changing the status to Complete or Canceled

If you would not like to delete the job, you can change the job's status to Complete or Canceled to remove it from your active jobs.

If the job is recurring, you will want to change the Repeat to Does not repeat, then change the status to Complete or Canceled.

Note: If you do not turn the job frequency off before completing or canceling the job, it will unlock the next recurring job and will continue to have an active job.

Once the job has been completed, canceled, or deleted it will no longer appear in their active job list and you will be able to delete the customer's account

Deleting the customer once they no longer have any active jobs

Head back over to your Customer list > Check the box to the left of the customer's name > Click Action > Delete.

Undeleting a customer

To undelete a customer, open your customer list > Click Action > Deleted Customers > Check the box to the left of the customer's name > Action > Undelete.
