GorillaDesk's Custom Job Status feature enables you to create specific job status categories that align with your organization's workflow, allowing for better organization and tracking of each job based on its current stage.

Note: This feature is accessible on the V3 desktop and Mobile App to Growth Plan users. This feature is NOT supported in Classic.

You can begin by enabling and configuring the Custom Job Status add-on.

1. Go to Addons and turn on the Custom Job Status.

Once enabled, you can now start managing your job status

2. Click the 'Manage' button on the Manage Job Statuses. In this section, you can customize your existing job statuses or create entirely new and unique ones.

There are 2 sections where you can manage your job status:

Customize Current Job Status

This section allows you to add a sub-status to the current job status.

This feature enables you to extend the existing job status while still benefiting from status automation, such as automated reminders, confirmations, and completion triggers.

To do so:

  1. Simply choose from the existing job statuses and type the sub-status label in the adjacent text field

  2. Click 'Add' to save your custom job status.

Note: Please be aware that the 'Complete' and 'Cancel' statuses must still be used to activate the next job.

Create a Custom Job Status

This section allows you to create your own custom job status.

To create your unique job status:

1. Modify your job status color

2. Add your unique job status name

3. Add the secondary job status label.

4. Lastly, click the add button.

Note: Please be aware that this custom status does not link to any automation or triggers; it is intended solely for flagging jobs that do not require any system actions. Continue using the main system job status for all automation-related purposes.

If you wish to modify these statuses, click the pen icon to edit or the trash bin icon to delete it.

Note: Deleted job statuses will be moved to the 'Deleted' tab, where you can permanently delete them. Job statuses that are still assigned to a job can not be permanently deleted.

User Permissions

Manage which users have the authorization to add, edit, and delete entries from the job status master list.

Click on the 'Manage' button.

On this page, you will see the list of all the user with their role.

  • Allow user to add a custom job status on the master list by clicking the toggle on the Add column

  • Allow user to edit and delete custom job statuses by clicking on the toggle on the Edit/Delete column.

This permission only applies if the user has access to Addons.
