The Estimate Templates feature in GorillaDesk saves you time by allowing you to create templates in advance. These templates can then be used when generating estimates for your customers.

Note: This feature is accessible on the V3 desktop and the mobile app.

The Basic Template is available for Basic, Pro, and Growth Users.

Dynamic and Estimate packages are available only for Growth Users.

To create Dynamic and Estimate Packages, go to Add Ons > Dynamic Estimates and enable these features.

Once the necessary add-ons are enabled, you can start building your estimate templates in Settings > Templates.

Basic Estimate Template

Basic estimates are the standard estimates.

  1. Simply select the Basic Estimates from the sidebar.

  2. Click the '+ Add New' button.

  3. Add a name to your template.

  4. Add line items to your template

  5. Additionally, you can include discounts, terms, and notes exclusively within this template.

  6. Click the 'Save Template' button.

Dynamic Estimates

Dynamic estimates enable you to include optional and recommended items, providing your customers with customizable choices to enhance their selections.

  1. Select the Dynamic Estimates from the sidebar.

  2. Click the '+ Add New'.

  3. Add a name to your dynamic template.

  4. Add line item to your template.

  5. By default, the item you added is tagged required, you can change it by clicking the Required dropdown.

  6. Additionally, you can include discounts, terms, and notes exclusively within this template.

  7. Click the 'Save Template' button.

Estimate Package

Estimate Package enables you to bundle items into comprehensive packages, allowing customers to choose the option that best fits their needs and budget.

  1. Select the 'Estimate Packages' from the sidebar.

  2. Click the '+ Add New' button

  3. Add a name to your package estimate template.

  4. When creating a package estimate, you will need to add a name to each package in the estimate.

  5. You can also assign a color to each package.

  6. You can input different discount values for each package in the estimate; however, the terms and notes will be the same for all packages.

  7. Click the 'Save Template' button.

How to Use Your Estimate Templates

You can follow this easy steps on how to use the templates you created.

  1. You can use these templates when creating a new estimate or editing an existing one.

  2. In the New Estimate or Edit Estimate window, click the 'Select Template' dropdown

  3. You will see a list of the templates, labeled by their estimate type. You can filter the list by estimate type or search for the specific estimate template you need.

  4. Once you select a template, it will override the existing items in your estimate window, and the estimate type will automatically update based on the template you select.

These templates can also be used when creating or editing estimates in the mobile app.

  1. When you create or edit an existing estimate, you can click on the 'Select Estimate Templates' dropdown.

  2. You will see a list of the templates, labeled by their estimate type. You can filter the list by estimate type or search for the specific estimate template you need.

  3. Once you select a template, it will override the existing items in your estimate window, and the estimate type will automatically update based on the template you select.

Note:

  1. You cannot add a new template if the Dynamic Estimates Add-On is OFF.

  2. You cannot use the dynamic estimate and estimate packages on a basic plan; the template will automatically revert to a basic estimate.

  3. You cannot use the dynamic estimate and estimate packages if the add-on is OFF; the template will automatically revert to a basic estimate.

  4. The Manage Templates option is only available in the V3 desktop.
