PDP loading is a way to leverage the internal browser to instantly load a product page.

As you move from product page to product page, pages are pre-rendered so the loading is instant.

This results in the fastest product pages loading possible on native Shopify stores.

For Blunt - we use the PDP rendering to achieve the instant loading that matches the speed of native variants.

In the example below - the first row of swatches are native variants - while the second row are individual products.

You can see the page here.

As you navigate between the individual products you will see there is no difference in the speed of the loading - this is because PDP rendering is loading all of the related content after the main content of the page has loaded.

In the Blunt example, we use the swatches as the links which connect the products, but we can use any visual element for this.

For the best performance - setting up these product relationships via a metafield product relationship is recommended.
