What is Text-to-Pay?

Text-to-Pay lets you send invoices via email and SMS. Sending an invoice by SMS provides a quick and secure way for customers to access and pay outstanding invoices. Each SMS includes a unique link to the invoice, which expires 24 hours after it is sent to help protect customer information. No banking or credit card details are stored in ServiceBridge during this process.

How does sending an invoice via SMS help my business?

These features help businesses:

  • Reduce the number of days that invoices are open

  • Notify customers when an invoice is due

  • Improve customer satisfaction by reaching them on their mobile devices

What capabilities are available when using text-to-pay?

With text-to-pay, you can:

  • Choose which companies are allowed to use the SMS invoicing feature (requires CardConnect as the payment provider).

  • Set which user roles have permission to send invoices via SMS.

  • Collect payments through the CardConnect portal linked within the SMS message.

  • Send individual invoices directly from the Invoice Details screen.

  • Allow administrators to send SMS invoices by default.

How do I enable and manage sending invoices via SMS?

To set up and manage SMS invoicing:

  • Ensure CardConnect is configured as your payment provider.

  • Enable SMS in Company Settings.

  • Administrator roles automatically have access once SMS is enabled.

  • On the Invoice Details page, select Send SMS from the Send Email dropdown.

  • Expiration settings for invoice links can be managed directly on the Invoice Details screen.

How much is the Text-to-Pay feature?

There is no additional cost to you!

Will my business benefit from sending invoices via SMS?

SMS invoicing is especially valuable for businesses that perform routine service visits, including:
