One of the great features of Premium is the ability to receive notifications for new activity! Notifications will be sent automatically for new grades, updated grades, new attendance records, and more. Here’s what to check if you’re not receiving notifications like you expect:

Verify your Premium subscription

To receive notifications, ensure you have an active subscription to Premium via Apple (on iOS) or Google (on Android).

Verify GradePro isn’t being force-quit

GradePro needs to be left running in the background to send notifications. This is because only your device has access to your login credentials, so only your device can check for new activity. If you force-quit GradePro (by swiping up in the app switcher), you’ll prevent GradePro from running in the background.

Verify background app refresh is enabled

Related to the above, GradePro must be allowed to run in the background. Both iOS and Android allow you to disable this feature for apps, so make sure this hasn’t been disabled for GradePro.

Verify notifications are enabled at the system level

For GradePro to be able to send notifications, notifications cannot be disabled at the operating system level. In your device’s settings, check to make sure notifications are enabled for GradePro.

Verify notifications are enabled within the app

GradePro allows you to enable/disable different kinds of notifications, and enable/disable notifications on a student-by-student basis. Visit the “settings” screen within the GradePro app and verify that the notifications you want to receive are enabled.
