To help calculate your GPA, GradePro includes a handful of generic GPA scales that are commonly used by districts. These scales are labeled as “generic” since they aren’t built for any district or school in particular. In addition to the generic scales, GradePro offers district-specific scales for certain districts. These scales are built based on the specifications shared by these districts.

Although you can’t edit or delete the built-in scales, you can view details about them in the settings. Just tap the “GPA scales” link in the settings, then tap on any built-in scale to view its details. An example looks like:

Normal vs. detailed scales

There are two kinds of generic scales: normal scales and detailed scales. The normal scales assign a GPA value to a range of grades. For example, any grade between 90-100 might get a 4.0, any grade between 80-89 might get a 3.0, and so on.

The detailed scales assign a precise GPA value to individual grades. For example, a 100 might get a 4.0, a 99 might get a 3.9, and so on.
