Canceling an event registration can be done by administrators in the dashboard, or by the registrant directly from the event page before the cancellation deadline.
As the administrator in the dashboard
Log into your dashboard.
Select the event the attendee is registered for.
Select Attendees and search or scroll to the registrant.
Select the registrant’s name to access their profile.
Select the 'Cancel Registration' button in the upper right, confirm the action by clicking OK.
Notes:
This action cannot be reversed, but if you need to re-register them for the event, you can manually do that by following these steps or sending them the event link to re-register.
If the registrant paid a ticket fee, canceling them in the dashboard will initiate a refund from Stripe.
As the event registrant on the front end
Log into Gradual.
Select the event you’re registered for.
On the event page, locate the cancellation option below Add to calendar.
Click cancel your registration to open the cancellation confirmation window.
Review the confirmation message and click Submit to cancel your registration.
The cancellation option is displayed as:
“If you can no longer join, you can cancel your registration.”
The cancel your registration text is an underlined link that you can click to start the cancellation process.
The cancellation option is only available before the event’s cancellation deadline. Once the deadline has passed, the option will no longer appear.
For paid tickets, the event page also displays the refund deadline:
“You may cancel this ticket and get a refund no later than {refund-by date}”
When you click cancel your registration, a confirmation window will appear with the following message:“Are you sure about canceling your registration? Tickets may no longer be available at a later date.”
Click Submit to confirm your cancellation.
Notes:
The user will not receive any automated emails moving forward (event reminders or post-event survey prompt), and if the Google Calendar integration is enabled, the calendar invite will be removed from their calendar automatically.
This action cannot be reversed, so if they change their mind, they will need to re-register for the event.
If the registrant paid a ticket fee, canceling their registration will initiate a refund from Stripe.
