In Grant Compass it is possible to create and submit a grant application on behalf of another individual, physical person. This includes applications for minors under the age of 15 and individuals who e.g. are exempt from Danish MitID or have authorized a power of attorney. See the description below for procedures on how to submit each type of application.
Applying on behalf of a person under 15
When applying on behalf of a person under 15 years old, the application must be submitted by either the parent or legal guardian of the child. Minors cannot consent to the processing of their personal data in Grant Compass, which is why the responsibility must lie with their legal representative.
To begin the application, use the application link provided by the foundation/grant and click "Apply". Specify who you are applying on behalf of. Select “Another person” and indicate that you are applying on behalf of a minor. ❗ It is possible to submit applications for multiple children, however each application must be created and submitted individually.
If you already have an applicant profile in Grant Compass, please log in. If not, you must create a new profile using an email address you have access to and a secure password.
Advice 💡 If you have a Danish social security number (CPR), you have the option to create your profile via your private MitID for verification purposes. Please note that personal data from MitID is only used to verify your profile and will not be included in the application itself.
As you proceed, all information entered must relate specifically to the person you are applying on behalf of, e.g. their Danish CPR number. On the last step of the application form, please attach a signed declaration confirming your guardianship. This document can be downloaded from the portal, signed manually, and attached to the application as a PDF-file.
Once submitted, you can access and see the application via your profile in Grant Compass. The overview will also show you whether the submission was made by you on behalf of another individual or for your own use and whether it was granted or denied.
Applying on behalf of someone with power of attorney
This method applies to situations where you have to apply on behalf of a person using a power of attorney and where the person cannot complete the application form themselves due to exemption from Danish MitID or other practical, physical or psychological reasons.
Good to know ✅ When using a power of attorney, the person authorizing the application is referred to as the grantor and the person acting on their behalf of them is the agent. The power of attorney serves as a written confirmation of the grantor's consent, allowing the agent to act within the scope of the document.
