Here's what's new, improved, and fixed on the Grateful platform this month.
New Features
📥 Import Daily Tips - You can now import tips with their associated dates, so each tip entry is tied to the day it was earned.
📝 Edit Future Summaries - Future tronc summaries can now be edited before they're finalised, so you can make adjustments ahead of time.
🔗 Sona Agency Staff Import - Grateful now supports importing agency staff timesheets from Sona. If you use Sona to manage agency workers, their hours can now flow straight into your tronc calculations.
⚙️ Tronc Adjustments - You can now view and edit tronc adjustments directly in the platform.
🎯 Tips Import to Employee - Tips can now be imported and assigned directly to a specific employee - no need to go through a tronc group first.
🛂 Employee Sponsored Visa Tracking - There's a new checkbox on the employee edit view to track sponsored visa status.
📊 Sage 50 Report Export - There's a new CSV export option for tronc detail in Sage 50 format, available from the tronc detail page.
🧮 Employee Tronc Rules - You can now set individual tronc calculation rules per employee. Points and base values can be configured for a specific time period, giving you more control over how tronc is distributed.
🔗 Kobas Gratuity Import - New integration to import gratuities from Kobas via Venue Payments.
📋 Stint Single-Site Import - Stint imports now support single-site configurations.
Improvements
🕐 More Gratuity Date Options - When creating gratuities, you now have more date and time range options to choose from.
📈 Faster Reporting Engine - We've upgraded the reporting infrastructure behind the scenes. Reports will load faster, and new reporting features will reach you more quickly going forward.
🧹 Cleaner Full Detail Reports - Salaried team members who have left a business will no longer appear on the full detail report with a zero tronc allocation. If they've left and have no outstanding tronc to process, they're removed automatically.
🔄 Aloha Gratuities Import - The Aloha gratuities import now handles gratuity type separation more reliably.
📥 Clearer Report Downloads - Download instructions on reports now adapt based on the type of report you're viewing.
📋 Tronc Points Action Column - The bulk "Edit Tronc Points" page now includes an action column for clearer point management.
💰 STASH in HQ Tronc Reports - HQ tronc reports and CSV exports now include savings and STASH deduction amounts.
👁️ Tronc Finalisation Visibility - Tronc periods are now automatically set to visible for all employees when finalised, and can be copied to child locations regardless of status.
🔍 Aloha Employee Matching - Improved employee matching during Aloha gratuity imports for more reliable data.
🐛 Bug Fixes
Fixed tronc split display issues in the admin portal
Fixed contracted hours not displaying correctly for inactive employees
Fixed handling of empty fields in Polaris employee imports
Fixed number fields in the admin panel that could accidentally change while scrolling (the +/- stepper has been removed)
Fixed STASH bank account details not displaying correctly
Fixed the tips importer getting stuck on an endless loading screen in certain conditions
Fixed report filters not working correctly on some embedded reports
Fixed the gratuity input form to correctly show time pickers for businesses using datetime period types
Fixed a crash when viewing the gratuity form for employees with missing names or tip receivers
Fixed employee and timesheet import issues for the Sona integration
