Gravl Gym: Set up Profiles and Available Equipment

Set up your workout spaces and switch between them with ease!

From a basic home gym to a super-stacked fitness center (or maybe a mix of both?), Gravl makes it easy to create profiles that match your equipment. This means you'll always get perfectly tailored workouts for wherever you're training. 🏋🏻‍♂️

Ready to jump in? Let's get you set up!

CREATE A GYM PROFILE

  • Tap "Gym Profile" in the upper left corner on the Home screen.

  • Tap "Add Gym Profile".

  • Select between Large, Small and Garage Gym - if you choose Large or Small Gym, you will be prompted to grant the app access to your device's location. If granted, we can suggest gyms nearby from our database.

  • Here are two options for how to continue:

  1. Search nearby gyms and select from the list. (GIF 1)

  2. Tap "Skip" and enter the desired gym name. (GIF 2)

  • Tap "Create".

💪🏽 Gravl Tip:

If you chose option 2, you can still search for your gym after tapping "Create". On the next screen, just tap "Add" and select a gym from the list.

EDIT AVAILABLE EQUIPMENT

Now that you've created a gym profile, you can assign a color to it. Most importantly: Tell us what equipment is available so our AI can work its magic and create workouts that consist only of exercises you can do. ✨ Here's how: (GIF 3)

  • Tap "Equipment".

  • Select the available equipment by checking or unchecking the boxes.

  • Edit the units, increments, available plates, bars, dumbbells, etc.

  • Add custom weights for dumbbells and kettlebells if neccessary.

You can edit the units (kg/lbs) for all machines, kettlebells, and dumbbells, but not for bars and plates. These will use the unit selected in the Profile Settings because, at least for now, it is not possible to combine a bar in kg with plates in lbs or vice versa.

💪🏾 Gravl Tip:

Switching between units is also available on the fly. Take a look at the exercise screen. 😉

SWITCH BETWEEN DIFFERENT PROFILES

Need more profiles for different gyms or setups? Just repeat the steps above. Switching between them is a breeze:

  • Tap the gym name in the upper left corner on the Home Screen.

  • Select the profile you want to use.

💪🏻 Gravl Tip:

If you want to edit the equipment or the name of a profile later, just open the sidebar, tap the three dots next to the profile you want to edit and select "Edit".
