How does community training work?
We run community Economics and Outcomes training on a rotating five-week schedule, with one module each week. If you are a new user, we recommend starting with a PES Economics Introduction session. After that, you can attend the remaining sessions in any order and at whatever pace fits your schedule.
PES Economics: Introduction
We will cover our standard program economics methodology in this introductory session. You will understand what data we collect to calculate direct instructional revenue, cost, and contribution. A brief system demo will highlight areas we will dive into further detail in the following sessions.

System Navigation
Learn how to navigate the Economics and Outcomes system. Understand how and when to apply filters, where to see particular visuals, and use bookmarks to save views. Become confident that you are correctly analyzing data!

Departmental and Program Area Analysis
Walk through two use cases: managing departments and course offerings, and program review. Understand the impact of each section on your department’s economics by using the Section Analysis and Data Table. Next, we will use the Analysis tab, Benchmarking, and the Data Table to review programs.

Data Table Crash Course
One of the most flexible tools in the system is the Data Table. Discover all of the dimensions and metrics that can be added to create completely customized views, and learn how to save them as bookmarks to share with other users and return to later. Learn how to manipulate the table, including sorting columns, filtering data, and exporting to Excel.
