1. From your Gray DI Hub, navigate to the Student Demand tab.
2. Select International Student Demand Dashboard
3. The international dashboard data is sourced from study portals. This means we track prospective students globally who clicked into a program's website.
From this data, we know the prospective student's location, the program they were interested in, and the destination they sought to travel to. This totals approximately 34.7 million page views.
4. First, click on International Demand. This will exclude the United States as an origin.
5. All page views displayed here will now represent traffic to the United States originating from other countries.
6. To filter your data, refer to the list of available filters.
7. Below, you can use these chart dimensions to change the contents of the table. For example, by selecting "Origin Country," you can see the page views by country in this table.
8. Let's try one more example: select CIP code. Here are page views by CIP code, so you can get an idea of which program codes international students are interested in
Now that you know how to operate this dashboard, there are a couple key questions you can answer:
What program should I recruit for?
Where should I send my recruiters?
9. Next, select your state. In this example, I have selected "TX"
10. To identify recruitment opportunities, review the page views by program code. This will give you a general idea of program interest and potential size for recruitment.
11. Next, review the Origin Country data. This will show you where you might want to focus your recruitment efforts.
12. Selecting a country in the table will apply a filter. In this example, I've selected India.
13. Now select Origin City.
14. This allows you to pinpoint cities within India where page views are coming from, indicating interest in Texas as a destination.
15. You can also view this data within a Data Table.
Navigate and select Data Table in the top ribbon of your screen.
16. In this view, you can get an exportable report of these page views and identify trends.
17. Select the following.
18. The table now reflects the trends of different programs, their origin location, showing the years and the total number of page views they received in each respective year.
19. To export this table, right-click anywhere within the table and select Download.
