Overview Section
The Overview Section is designed to give users a clear and organized look at their production operations with these 3 sections:
Overview
Production
Performance
Together, these 3 tabs provide a complete picture of field activity, supporting better monitoring, planning, and decision-making.
In this article, we will explain how each of them works, what kind of information you can expect to find, and how they can be used to monitor your production flow.
Overview
The Production Overview Chart shows how much oil, gas, and water have been produced over a period of time. It helps the Executives to easily see how things are going and spot any change in production.
What the Chart Shows:
Time Range Flexibility: Users can choose a custom time frame—whether it's the past 7, 30, or more days—depending on their operational or reporting needs.
Production Breakdown: The chart displays separate types of lines for oil, gas, water, and total fluid volumes. This allows companies to monitor how each component behaves over time.
Performance Ratios: Key performance indicators like the oil cut (the percentage of fluids that is oil) and the oil-to-water ratio help assess efficiency and fluid composition. These trends provide insight into well-being and economic viability.
Now, if you click one of the lines in the chart, a pop-up window will show off, this view shows production activity for that specific date (For example, June 2 as shown in the image below) and any downtime details of your wells. It helps explain why production may have dropped on a specific day by showing which wells were offline and their reason.
Also, if you want to see the full list of the offline wells, just click the ‘’Downtime’’ word at the top left corner of the chart. And this is what you will see:
The same thing applies to the rest of the charts located below:
Production
This tab displays production data for a selected period of time. The user can view oil, gas, water, and other assets by month, as shown in the main table.
On the top right corner of the screen, there is a filter menu where the user can adjust the Time Range. Available options include:
7 days
30 days
3 months
6 months
1 year
Or a Custom date range
Additionally, the user can choose whether the sum totals are shown as:
Daily
Monthly
This feature allows Executives to see their total production based on their needs.
Performance
This dashboard gives you a daily summary of your operations. It always shows data for the previous day, not today’s date. For example, if today is May 8th, the dashboard will display data from May 7th. This is intentional, as many pumpers have not yet entered their data for the current day, which would result in empty or misleading data. Showing the previous day ensures the most complete and accurate information.
That being said… let's get started!
Top Left Sidebar Filters
The dashboard comes with three easy to use filters on the top left:
Show: Toggle between Facilities or Wells
Facilities: View production data summarized at the facility level.
Wells: View detailed well-level data, based on allocation.
Group: Choose a specific group you’ve created, or select ALL to view data across all your groups.
State/County: Narrow your view to specific geographical areas.
Next we have…
Understanding Variances: 7-Day & 30-Day Averages
The dashboard provides variance columns for both 7-day and 30-day averages. Here’s how they work:
Hover your mouse over a number in the 7 Days or 30 Days column to see a board explaining what the number represents.
These numbers reflect the average production over the past 7 or 30 days, including the data from the most recent day displayed (again, the day before today).
For example, if the dashboard displays data for May 7th, the 7-day average will encompass the period from May 1st to May 7th.
Now, below the variance percentage, you’ll see a grey number—this is the absolute variance. It shows the difference between the current period and the previous period of the same length. So if the 7-day period ending May 7th produced 8.16 more barrels than the previous 7-day period, this value helps quantify that change.
The percentage above this number indicates the percentage increase or decrease in production over the same period. For example, a +100.00% increase means production went up by that margin over the last 7 days compared to the previous 7 days.
The same thing applies for the 30 days.
Moving forward…
Oil Stock: Click for Details
In the Oil Stock (Current Stock) section:
Click on any number to see exactly which tanks the stock comes from.
You’ll see the percentage of total volume, the latest gauge reading, and each tank’s capacity.
This gives you clear, transparent visibility into where your current oil stock is held.
Gas & Water: Parallel Tracking
Just like oil, the dashboard also shows Gas Production and Water Production:
You’ll see the absolute production for each of these.
The same logic used for oil variance applies—compare the current gas and water production with previous periods for insight into trends and anomalies.
Interactive Graphs: 30-Day Production History
Next, you'll notice a series of small line graphs that display production patterns over the last 30 days for each product—oil, gas, and water. These visuals give you a quick, at-a-glance understanding of your production over time.
Hover over the graphs to view absolute volumes for any given day in that 30-day period.
This feature helps spot anomalies, identify consistent growth, or highlight any sudden drops in production.
Clickable Facilities & Wells: Instant Detail Access
One of the most powerful features of this new dashboard is its drill-down functionality.
When you click on any Facility, the dashboard displays the last measurement entered for each asset within that facility.
For example, if the facility has 1 Gas Meter, 2 Oil Tanks, and 1 Water Meter, you’ll see the most recent data entered for each.
For Wells, if a well has a Well Test, that information will also be visible in the summary.
Comments & Downtime Indicators
Staying informed has never been easier:
If a comment has been added to a Facility or Well, a Comment Icon will appear next to its name. Click it to view all notes entered.
If a downtime has been logged, you’ll see an Alert Icon. This quickly flags operational interruptions.
In Facility View, you’ll see downtimes for all wells under that facility.
In Well View, you'll see downtimes specific to that well, with the option to expand and view full details.
This dual view let’s you choose between a broader overview and a granular focus, depending on your needs.
Reminder: The main difference between Facility and Well views is how production is calculated:
Facilities reflect data at the facility level
Wells reflect production based on allocated volumes
Right Sidebar: Sort & Filters
The Sort & Filters panel on the right-hand side helps you tailor your dashboard experience even further.
You can:
Sort by Percentage or Absolute Change to prioritize what matters most to you.
Use filters to control which wells are included in your view:
Exclude wells with no oil volume
Exclude wells with oil-volume change (# bbls) in the past 7 days
Exclude wells with oil-volume change (%) in the past 7 days
This level of customization ensures you're only looking at the most relevant and actionable data.
Custom Columns: Choose What You See
At the bottom of the sidebar, under ‘Columns’, you can select which data columns to display:
Oil
Gas
Water
Production (last 30 days)
For example, if you uncheck 'Production (last 30 days)', the graphs will disappear, allowing for a cleaner view and more space for the remaining data.
This Overview Section was built with your daily operations in mind—fast, flexible, and focused on what matters most. With powerful filtering tools, intuitive visuals, and detailed production tracking, you’ll have everything you need at your fingertips.
