Building out a new tank is a snap!

To do so, simply follow along:

  1. Select Settings on Left Navigation bar

  2. Select Batteries on Top Navigation bar

  3. Select your Battery from the list

  4. Scroll down to the type of Tank you want to add and click the green '+' button

  5. Enter Tank name and select press the green '+' button to enter Standard Tank Strap sizes from drop down

  6. Click 'Dual' if you have a dual purpose tank (need top & bottom gauges)

  7. Click Create and you're done!

That said, some tanks will either (1) fall outside of the standard Tank Sizes GreaseBook offers or (2) will have multiple Tank Strappings.

In these two cases, we simply use GreaseBook's Tank Strap feature (and assuming you know the logic behind tank straps, it's a snap! 🧠)

Basically, each 'Strap' has its own STARTING and ENDING height.

Our first 'Strap' always STARTS at 0 inches (the base of any tank is always 0 inches!). And, we simply add the STARTING and ENDING height for each new strap using the '+' sign.

When you're done modifying your Straps, simply click Save and the app will now auto calculate each unique tank's production for your Pumpers! 😱

Finally, please note that all Custom Straps (ie 'Strapping Volumes') in the GreaseBook are πŸš¨πŸ‘‰barrels per 1/4 inch.πŸ‘ˆπŸš¨

And, yes – we understand this is a delineation from standard industry practice.

Why do we do this?

Because many tanks have strapping tables that have bbl/inch conversion increments that are less than 1 inch (how else could we manage a Frac Tank or Horizontal Cylindrical Tank laying on its side with 100 straps?)

That said, for those of you who are a bit more visually inclined, here's a simple example that consists of a 3 strap, 15' tank (180 inches) AND how that would be put into the GreaseBook 🧐

Enter as many tanks and straps as you need to match your Operations!
