Got Electronic Flow Meters (EFMs)? If so, here's how to set the app to calculate daily gas production using Cumulative Gas Meter totals!

The GreaseBook's default mode for gas produced is the total gas produced for the day.

That said, we often find Electronic Flow Meters (EFMs; TotalFlows; FloBoss; etc) which keep a running or cumulative total of all gas produced onsite.

And, it's from this cumulative total that our pumper must back-calculate total volume produced in the last 24 hours.😰

That said, did you know the GreaseBook can also calculate daily volumes from the total running volumes, too? 😉

To handle this, we simply need to turn 'ON' Cumulative Gas Mode at each Battery within which an EFM resides.

To do so, go Settings (left side menu), then go to Batteries section (top nav menu).

Next, simply select which Battery you'd like to implement 'Cumulative Gas Mode':

2. Now, click to the small pencil icon beside the Battery's name✏️:

3. Finally, scroll down and expand the 'Gas Options' tab. Simply select the “Use Cumulative Mode” checkbox > click on “Save” > and that’s it!

Please note:

  • When Cumulative Meter Mode is turned 'On', the GreaseBook app will automatically average and spread out production over any days that are found skipped or missing.🤓

  • If your pumper is offline when you switch to Cumulative Meter Mode, it's possible they may continue to collect data under the 'daily volume produced' default before regaining connectivity and giving the app the opportunity to update. So, to keep your Pumpers from doing any double-work, please have them simply re-sync their app before adding any additional gas measurements! 🔛✅
