Adding and Using Gas Meters at the Facility Level

Occasionally there are times when you need more than just a Check Meter at the Well Level or a single Sales Meter at the Facility Level.

This is where GreaseBook's custom Gas Meter feature comes in handy. πŸ‘œ

GreaseBook now allows you to add multiple custom Gas Meters to your MCF & Facilityy Level and to set their production features to meet your needs. πŸ”›

Let's say you want to keep track of a Sales Meter (produced gas), a Buyback Gas Meter and Injection Gas Meter where Total Facility Production = Sales Meter - Buyback Gas Meter - Injection Gas Meter.

GreaseBook can now support these meters and add them to your total gas production!

To setup your extra Gas Meters simply go Settings > Facility > Gas Meter section.

Press the green '+' sign to add a new Gas Meter, add a name, if you want it to count towards production (standard) or ignore, or compute as negative (if you want the meter to subtract from overall gas total). Press 'Create' and your custom Gas Meter is ready to go!

For our example, we have a Buyback Gas Meter and an Injection Gas Meter which we want to contribute to overall production, but we want to subtract from the Sales Meter total. We would set these meters to show standard production, but compute as negative as shown below.

Once we have our Gas Meter created, we can go to our Facility > MCF & Facility and enter our meter readings!

Here we can see that by entering our Sales Meter, Buyback Gas Meter and Injection Meter values we get our total!

Total Gas = Sales Meter - Buyback Gas Meter - Injection Gas Meter

150 MCF = 300 MCF - 50 MCF - 100 MCF

Pretty sweet hey? 🍭 You can add custom Gas Meters in any fashion to make sure you're keeping track of all your assets.

Another cool feature to the custom Gas Meters is the ability to add Custom & Logic Variables- make 'em how you need 'em! πŸ”

When you add in your Gas Meter, click the green '+' sign next to the Custom Variables section and add in any attributes you want to keep track of!

And that's it! Your Gas Meters are good to go!
