The Data Preferences Section in GreenCast Connect allows you to customize how your data is displayed and interpreted. Here’s a simple guide to help you configure your settings to suit your needs.

1. Accessing the Data Preferences Section

  • Open the GreenCast Connect app.

  • Go to Settings (tap the gear icon ⚙️).

  • Select “Data Preferences” to view and adjust your data settings.


2. Default Period

  • The Default Period setting determines the standard time range for viewing your data.

    • Options typically include:

      • 24 hour

      • 7 days

      • 14 days

      • 1 month

      • 6 months

  • Choose the period that best fits your monitoring needs.


3. Units

  • Customize the measurement units for temperature and length:

    • Temperature:

      • Celsius (°C)

      • Fahrenheit (°F)

    • Length:

      • Centimeters (cm)

      • Inches (in)


4. Soil Salinity Units

  • Choose how soil salinity levels are displayed:

    • MicroSiemens per centimeter (μS/cm)

    • MilliSiemens per centimeter (mS/cm)

    • Decisiemens per meter (dS/m)

    • Parts per million (ppm)


5. Light Units

  • Choose the unit for measuring light intensity:

    • Lux (lx)

    • Foot-candles (fc)


6. How to Update Preferences

  1. In the Data Preferences section, tap on each setting (Default Period, Units, Salinity Units, or Light Units).

  2. Select your preferred option.

  3. Changes will be saved automatically and applied across the app.


Tips:

  • Adjust your Default Period to match your reporting or monitoring frequency.

  • Use consistent units for easier data comparison over time.
