GreenCast Connect dashboards are fully customizable, allowing each user to tailor their view based on what matters most to them.
You can:
Add, remove, and rearrange widgets
Choose which tools and data appear on your dashboard
Create a layout that fits your workflow and sites
Some dashboard features are available only with upgraded plans.

Accessing the Dashboard
Open the GreenCast Connect app
Login to your account
The Dashboard is the first screen you’ll see by default
If you’re navigating from another section of the app, you can return to the Dashboard by tapping the Dashboard tab at the bottom of the screen
Organize and Customize Your Dashboard
Use the + icon on top right corner of the Dashboard to manage widgets:
Tap + once to open Organize Dashboard (reorder or remove widgets).
Tap + twice to add new widgets.
Step 1: Open Organize Dashboard
From the Dashboard, tap the plus (+) icon in the top-right corner.
This opens the Organize Dashboard page where you can manage your current widgets.
Step 2: Add Widgets
To add a new widget:
On the Organize Dashboard page, tap the + icon again.
Select the widget you want to add:
Weather
Monitor
Pest Risk
GDD
Growth Potential
After selecting a widget, tap the back arrow twice to return to the Dashboard. The Dashboard will update and the new widget will appear.
Step 3: Reorder Widgets
On the Organize Dashboard page:
Tap and hold the right side of a widget.
Drag the widget up or down to change its position.
Step 4: Remove Widgets
On the Organize Dashboard page:
Tap the red (-) icon next to a widget to remove it from your Dashboard.

Displays up-to-date weather information, including current conditions, forecasts, and alerts

Wind Measurements
The Weather Widgets include both Wind Speed and Wind Gusts to give a complete picture of wind conditions.
Wind Speed
The steady or average wind moving through the area.Wind Gusts
Short, sudden increases in wind speed where the wind briefly blows stronger than the average.
Wind Icons in Forecasts
In the Hourly and Daily Forecast views, wind conditions are represented with consistent icons:
Breeze / wind lines icon → Indicates wind speed (steady conditions)
Windsock / flag icon → Indicates wind gusts (sudden peaks)
These icons are used consistently across:

Both wind speed and gust values are displayed using the same units for easy comparison.
Monitor Widgets
Displays real-time environmental data, such as soil temperature, soil moisture, and light levels
Helps you track current conditions affecting your turf
Weather Alerts: Notifications for severe weather conditions, such as frost, storms, or heatwaves.
Customizable: Add, remove, or reorder widgets to prioritize the information most relevant to you

Spiio Area Widgets
The Spiio area widget is designed to aggregate data from multiple soil sensors installed within a specific zone or area
Offers a comprehensive overview of soil health across a larger zone, helping you manage and optimize resource usage over a wider area.
Detailed Interaction:
Click on the widget to access more detailed information about sensor data.
Edit context related to the area by clicking the edit icon in the top right corner.
Install a sensor or edit sensor threshold directly from the widget by clicking the edit icon in the top right corner.
View moisture, salinity, and temperature data for timeframes including 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, or 1 month.
Spiio Place Widgets
Displays real-time data from an individual soil sensor, such as soil moisture, temperature, and salinity levels at a specific installation point.
Provides localized insights into soil conditions at the exact location of the sensor, helping you monitor and manage specific soil health parameters.
Detailed Interaction:
Click on the widget to access more detailed information about sensor data.
Add a picture for visual reference of the installation location.
Add personal notes to track specific observations or changes.
Edit context related to the sensor, such as installation settings or sensor name.
Install, replace, or permanently remove a sensor directly from the widget.
View soil moisture, salinity, and temperature data for timeframes including 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, or 1 month.
Pest Risk Widgets
Displays pest risk levels based on current and forecasted conditions.
Identifies high-risk periods for pest outbreaks.

GDD (Growing Degree Days) Widgets
Tracks cumulative Growing Degree Days (GDD), a critical metric used to support turf and landscape management timing, pest monitoring, and application planning.
To activate GDD widgets, navigate to settings > GDD Trackers and add a new tracker.
Helps predict pest emergence and optimal application windows for fertilizers and control products.
Features:
Displays Active and/or Archived GDD trackers based on selections in Organize Dashboard
Configurable GDD thresholds based on local conditions
Notifications when thresholds are reached
Displays:
Current accumulated GDD totals
Current day GDD values
Forecasted daily GDD values for the next three days
GDD History and Forecast Data
Additional GDD history and forecast information can be viewed in the Diary tab by filtering for GDD trackers.
The Diary allows users to view:
Previous month cumulative GDD data
Current month GDD data
Forecasted cumulative GDD data for the next two months
Individual monthly GDD totals
For additional long-term analysis and expanded data visualization, GDD trackers can also be viewed in the GreenCast Connect desktop platform at app.greencastconnect.com
Detailed Interaction:
Click on the active GDD tracker to access more detailed information including:
Start date of the GDD tracker
Threshold type (accumulated GDD or calendar days)
Threshold value
Base temperature
Tracker Type (turf or pests)
Ability to pause, restart, or archive the GDD tracker as needed.
Ability to edit the GDD threshold directly within the tracker settings for more accurate monitoring.
Note: once a GDD tracker is archived it cannot be undone.
Growth Potential Widgets
Overview: Displays turf growth potential based on temperature and environmental factors.
Purpose: Assists in optimizing mowing schedules, fertilization, and irrigation.
Features:
Cool season growth potential and warm season growth potential.
Color-coded indicators for low, moderate, and high growth potential.
Data visualization over time for trend analysis.
