The number of sensors you need depends on your operation type and what you want to monitor. Below are recommended placements by industry to help you get the most out of your sensors from day one.


Golf

Golf courses use sensors to benchmark green conditions, track moisture, monitor salinity, and get ahead of disease pressure before it becomes visible.

Recommended placements

  • 4–6 Greens Indicators
    Benchmark conditions, receive moisture data, and get alerted when disease risk is elevated based on soil conditions. Best used on your most critical putting surfaces.

  • 2–4 Fairway and Tee Indicators
    Track moisture for application timing and disease risk alerts on fairways and tees.

  • 1–2 Salt Flushing Sensors
    Salinity monitoring on greens — especially important on coastal courses or where recycled water is used for irrigation.

  • 1–2 Clubhouse Landscaping
    Extend monitoring to ornamental and landscape areas around the clubhouse.


Sports Turf

Sports turf managers use sensors to track moisture and temperature across high-traffic zones, prevent infield cracking, and manage areas with modified maintenance programs.
