Net Zero Initiative is a project co-created by several players in the field of carbon accounting, including Carbone 4, and supported by ADEME and the French Ministry of Ecological Transition, which proposes a single reference framework to frame private sector action in favour of carbon neutrality on a global and national scale.
This project resulted in the drafting of a single charter in 2022 detailing the "Ten NZI principles for an ambitious corporate climate strategy". It has become a reference in the field, supported by twenty-one major French companies and signed by major players in the field, both institutional (the French State) and private (emission management platforms). It later inspired the internationally recognized SBTi's Net Zero standard.
Greenly is a signatory of this charter and uses these principles to guide its clients in their climate strategy. Reading this document and understanding the principles is therefore a prerequisite for any commitment.
