Why it is important to invite your colleagues to your Greenly platform

Collaboration across multiple teams and individuals is essential for effective and precise data collection in GHG reporting.

When categorizing and validating expenses, your accounting team or a member of the purchasing team is ideally suited for this task. Meanwhile, the office administration team may find it more straightforward to gather energy consumption data, and the HR team can efficiently handle the submission of employee surveys.

💡 Having your team working together in one place is a critical success factor for your GHG assessment. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to invite them to your Greenly platform.

In this article, we'll guide you through the different ways of adding them to your account and explain the various access levels you can select from.

The different ways to add a coworker to your Greenly platform

  1. The first way of inviting a colleague to your platform is to click on Settings and then go to "Users & Roles":

2. Another way to invite your colleagues to join your team, is by assigning them to a specific task on your dashboard: access the Dashboard, click on any task and select "Add a coworker".

Once they accept the invitation, they will be added to the platform, assigned to the task, and will immediately understand their responsibilities.

Picking different permissions for your colleagues

To ensure the safeguarding of your sensitive data while still benefiting from your colleagues' assistance, we provide four distinct access levels (roles) on our platform. When inviting a colleague, you'll be prompted to select one of these roles based on the specific data they need to access or actions they need to perform. See the roles below:

  • Project Manager

Have access to all the platform and can assign/manage roles.

  • Sensitive Data Contributor

Can contribute to all the platform including sensitive data like expenses, but lacks access to Analytics, Exports and Apps.

  • Contributor

Can contribute to the platform, but does not have access to Expenses, Analytics, Exports and Apps.

  • Auditor

Can access all the dashboards and exports in My Emissions as well as the details of each data input.
