Overview

Market intelligence tools can be incredibly complex, and they often fail to provide information relevant to a particular brokerage. We created the GS Network Tab to provide you with a straightforward, user-friendly alternative, so you can easily keep tabs on changing market conditions.

The GS Network tab shows market trends on a lane-by-lane basis. It includes the largest 1000 lanes in the GS Network by volume, so you can see how prices have moved over the past 60 days. You can also view stats for your own brokerage.

With the GS Network tab, you can see how your brokerage is performing relative to the market, or filter by features such as origin and transport type for a more precise picture. It's useful when you're expanding into a new market, because you can filter by KMA for a quick picture of market conditions in the area.

Viewing Market Trends

Lanes listed on the GS Network tab are accompanied by relevant details, including number of loads, average rate, and average Confidence Level for rate predictions:

The two columns on the right show rate trends. The mini-chart shows you a graphic depiction of rate fluctuations over time, with a default of the past two months:

For more details, including exact the date range, current rate, oldest rate, and minimum and maximum rates, hover your mouse over the mini-chart:

The percentage on the far right represents the difference between the oldest rate and the current rate in the chart. For instance, in the image below, you can see that rates for the Houston to New Orleans lane are up 7.55% over the past two months, and rates from Houston to Lubbock are down 5.03%.
