How to assign an endowment
From your retailer dashboard, go to the Shops tab > open the club > click the Endowment tab in the Shop section.
Create the vouchers specifying the value per voucher and quantity.
The vouchers are then made available to the club in their Vouchers tab. The club volunteer can then assign vouchers to specific members by name and email from their Vouchers tab. Each member assigned a voucher receives it automatically by email with their code and an invitation to use it on the shop.
FAQs
How do I make a goodwill gesture to an unhappy customer?
Want to offer products to a member to compensate them for an order delay or issue, without issuing a refund? Endowments are made for this.
From the Endowment tab of the relevant shop, create one voucher for the amount you want to offer (quantity: 1).
Ask the club to assign it to the customer from their Vouchers tab, with their first name, last name, and email address.
The customer receives their code by email and applies it at the last step of their cart in the club shop.
Do you advance the funds?
No. You don't spend anything when creating the vouchers. The endowment is deducted from your revenue only when a voucher is actually used by a member.
Example: in March, you create an endowment of 10 × €20 for a club. In April, a member uses a €20 voucher on a €100 order — they pay €20 via voucher and €80 by card. You receive: €80 minus transaction fees. The endowment portion is automatically deducted from your revenue for that order. You only finance the endowment when it's consumed, and only for vouchers actually used.
Can I deactivate an endowment?
Yes. From your sales rep/retailer dashboard, you can deactivate it at any time from the Endowment tab of the relevant shop by clicking the trash icon on the right, even if some vouchers have already been used by members. Once deactivated, the vouchers are no longer visible in the club dashboard.
