Overview
Studio admins can adjust the price of a student’s active membership at any time. This is useful when offering discounts, honoring legacy pricing, or updating membership fees for individual students. This changes pricing for that individual student only, without affecting any other members.
Editing the price on the membership itself (Manage Studio > Memberships) only changes the price for new purchases — students who already hold it keep their old price. There is no bulk price increase for existing holders, so use Edit Pricing (below) for each existing member whose price should change, or upgrade them to a membership with the new price.
How to Change the Price of an Active Membership
Log in to your Groovio studio account.
Navigate to the Student Profile of the member whose pricing you want to update (Manage Studio > Students).
Click on the Memberships tab.
Click the Action (⋯) button next to the membership you want to edit.
Select Edit Pricing from the dropdown menu.
You’ll then see the Membership Future Cycle Payment screen.
What You’ll See
Current billing cycle: Shows the date range and amount currently being charged.
Expiry date: Indicates when the membership is set to expire (or shows “Unlimited”).
Amount (as per current billing cycle): The amount being charged for the current cycle.
Amount (next billing cycle): The amount that will be charged for the next upcoming cycle.
All future billing cycles amount:
Enter the new amount you would like to charge from the next billing cycle onward.
Note: This change will only apply to future billing cycles. The current cycle will not be adjusted.
Processing fees and taxes (if applicable) are not included in the listed amount and will be added during billing.
Temporary price changes: This adjusts the billing price for all future payments on that student's membership. If you only need the price changed temporarily, set a note or reminder for yourself to check back and re-adjust it to the correct rate later — Groovio will keep charging the new amount until you change it again.
