What are TAGS?

Tags are essential for connecting payment types (like memberships or packages) with specific classes. By adding tags, you ensure that memberships or packages can be applied to matching classes. Additionally, tags allow students to search for classes by type in the mobile app.

You can create tags directly from Manager Studio > Tags or while setting up a new class.

Tips for Using Tags Effectively:

  • Plan Ahead: Once a class, membership, or package has been booked or purchased, its associated tags become locked. While you won't be able to remove these tags directly, removal can be requested through admin intervention if necessary. You can always add new tags you may need in the future.

  • Use Clear, Specific Wording: Choose tags carefully to avoid accidental misapplication. Use distinct wording for each tag to ensure they are only applied to the intended memberships, packages, or classes.

  • Retain Active Tags: Groovio requires at least one tag to remain active for every class, so while planning, ensure essential tags like 'Casual' or 'Practice' are included.

Following these guidelines will help you effectively manage tags and keep your class offerings organized for both students and staff.

If tags need to be removed after scheduling or booking, follow the outlined request process for admin intervention to ensure compliance with the system guidelines.

SPECIALS

Discount Codes, Packages, and Tags Explained

Discount codes are applied to individual items and don’t use tags, meaning they can't group multiple items for bundled discounts. To offer discounts on bundles, set up packages and add relevant tags to classes. (or use the multi course discount feature)

Examples of Package Specials and Suggested Tags

  1. Beginner Bundle Sale: Offer a discount when a student signs up for two beginner or introductory classes. Add specific tags (e.g., Beginner Static Pole, Beginner Hoop) to these classes to limit eligibility to beginner classes only.

Tags Needed: Beginner Static Pole, Beginner Spin Pole, Beginner Hoop, Beginner Hammock, Beginner Silks, Beginner Trapeze, Beginner Heels

  2. Specific Type Casual Bundle Sale: Offer a discount for students who register for a full term of stretch and strength classes, for example. Use specific casual tags to apply discounts to the right classes.

Tags Needed: Casual Cardio, Casual Strength, Casual Stretch, Casual Dance, Casual Technique, Casual Yoga, Casual Pole

Kids vs. Adults Pricing

If you offer kids’ classes with different pricing than adult classes, add distinct “Kids” tags to the relevant classes and apply memberships based on these tags.

Tags Needed: Kids Static Pole, Kids Spin Pole, Kids Hoop, Kids Hammock, Kids Silks, Kids Trapeze, Kids Acro

Class Packages

For casual/drop in class packages, add a “casual” or “drop in” tag to all casual and drop in classes. Similarly, add a “practice” tag to any practice classes you want to include in a package deal.

Tags Needed: Practice

Managing Tags After Scheduling and Booking

Once a class is scheduled or booked, its tags become unable to be removed. To adjust these tags, consider the following steps:

  1. Identify the class and specific tags requiring deletion.

  2. Contact the Groovio admin team via the designated support channel.

  3. Specify your request clearly and ensure compliance with the policy of retaining at least one active tag.

By adhering to this process, required modifications can be implemented efficiently while keeping the system organized.
