Copy measurements lets you reuse parts and labour from one measurement to another, saving time. It copies all parts, pricing, formulas, and labour to a measurement within the same or in a different stage. Quantities are not copied.
⚠️Warning: Copy measurement is not to be used if there is only one part, it will group together with the original copied part.
Best practice when not using parts and labour would be to use +count and create from scratch.

Changing / updating parts in a copied measurement
When copying a measurement, it will duplicate all parts and labour and group/link all parts together, including the part matching the original description.
If a non-grouped part (different description) is required, the following steps will need to be completed to replace the incorrect part.
Alternatively, delete the incorrect part and re-create a new part.
Original measurement DL - 1 | Copied measurement Under the DL-4 |
| DL-1 part is present under the DL-4 measurement as it was copied from the original measurement.

Updating heights in a copied measurement
If a length has been copied that has additional options of m² and m³, the height / width / pitch MUST be changed.
Copied measurements duplicate all parts and labour and create identical linked / grouped parts matching the original description.
In this example, there is just one item to change, the height of the wall.
ORIGINAL MEASUREMENT 2.4m Single Sided Wall | COPIED MEASUREMENT 5m Single Sided Wall |
| The height of 2.4m is present as it was copied from the original measurement.

Updating depths in a copied measurement
If an area measurement has been copied that has additional options of m² and m³, the depth or pitch will need to be adjusted. E.g. This measurement copied the concrete (150mm) for the concrete (100mm) deep. The depth MUST be changed.
Copied measurements duplicate all parts and labour and create identical linked / grouped parts matching the original description.
In this example, there are two items to change:
Update the depth from 0.15m to 0.10m
Replace the part concrete (150mm) with concrete (100mm)
ORIGINAL MEASUREMENT Concrete (150mm) | COPIED MEASUREMENT Under the Concrete (100mm) |
