If you want to reward creators with a consistent retainer based on their recent sales performance, you can now do that on Growi with TikTok Shop Retainer Campaigns. These campaigns automatically calculate a creator’s 30-day GMV and assign them to a payout tier—helping you retain high-performers while staying efficient.
Here’s a step-by-step walkthrough:
1. Create a New Campaign
Head over to the Campaigns tab on your dashboard and click Create Campaign.
2. Select a Payout Structure
In the first section labeled "How would you like to set up this campaign’s payout structure?", choose:
🟣 TikTok Shop Retainer (based on past 30d GMV)
This option will allow you to pay creators a set amount based on the GMV they’ve generated on TikTok Shop over the last 30 days.
Note: This is only available for TikTok Shop campaigns.
3. Choose Campaign Frequency
Next, choose whether the campaign is One-Time or Ongoing.
Ongoing is recommended for tiered retainer campaigns, as payouts will continuously update based on each new 30-day window of GMV.
4. Set Post Requirements
Define how often creators are expected to post. For example:
“10 posts every 30 days” means creators are expected to hit that target per cycle.
Growi will use this to generate an invoice for each creator at the end of the cycle.
5. Select TikTok Shop for Tracking
You’ll be prompted to choose which store to use for tracking affiliate performance. Select:
✅ TikTok Shop
Growi will pull sales data directly from TikTok Shop, so there’s no need for affiliate links or tracking codes.
6. Set Your Tiers
Scroll down to the “How much do you want to pay the creator based on their last 30 days of GMV?” section.
Here’s where you define your payout tiers:
Tier Name: Label your tiers however you like (e.g., Bronze, Silver, Gold).
Retainer Amount: Enter how much you want to pay creators in this tier.
GMV Threshold: Set the minimum GMV required for a creator to qualify for this tier.
➡️ Example:
Bronze: $0 retainer for $0+ GMV
Silver: $150 retainer for $10,000+ GMV
Gold (optional): $300 retainer for $25,000+ GMV
Click Add Tier to create as many tiers as needed. Growi will automatically evaluate a creator’s past 30 days of GMV and assign them to the correct tier before sending out their invoice.
7. Complete the Campaign Setup
Once you’ve finished setting tiers and post requirements, proceed with the remaining campaign setup steps (name, content deliverables, contract preferences, etc.).
When you're ready, click Create Campaign to publish.
What Happens Next?
At the end of each cycle, Growi will evaluate each creator’s GMV from TikTok Shop.
It will automatically:
Assign the correct tier
Generate an invoice for the retainer amount
Track content delivery compliance (based on your post settings)
This keeps your campaigns scalable, automated, and tailored to creator performance.
