GSMtasks allows you to customize which task information is shown on the dashboard and in the driver mobile app. Different teams need different information at a glance. A delivery driver may need to see the destination address first, while a field technician may find the task description or scheduled time more useful. Customizing the task view helps make the most relevant information immediately visible to your team.
Default Task View
By default, task information is displayed on the dashboard and in the driver app with the following key details:
Waypoint address
Time (complete after/before)
Contact name
This setup works well for delivery and logistics operations where the destination address is usually the most important information for the driver.
Customized Task View
The task view can be adjusted to better match the way your business operates. Instead of displaying the destination address as the main information, the task view can show other information entered when creating a task, such as:
Client name
Company name
Task description
Task time
Other relevant task information
This means your drivers or field workers can see the information that matters most to them directly from their task list.
Example: Field service technicians
For a fleet of mobile technicians, the task description and scheduled time may be more useful at a glance than the destination address. For example, instead of primarily showing an address, the task view could display:
Fix the sink âą 14:00
This allows the technician to immediately understand what needs to be done and when, without opening the task first.
How to Customize Your Task View
Task view customization is currently configured with the help of the GSMtasks support team. If you would like to change which information is displayed in your GSMtasks dashboard or driver app:
Open the green chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of the GSMtasks dashboard.
Tell our support team which task information you would like displayed.
