Calendar View in the Driver App

Check your tasks by date in the Driver App Calendar: see task counts, state colours, and open any day's tasks.

Written by Mia Alter

The Calendar View in the GSMtasks Driver App gives workers a date-based overview of their tasks. It makes it easy to see which days contain tasks, check their current states, and open the tasks scheduled for a particular date.

To open the Calendar, tap the Calendar icon in the bottom navigation bar.

Viewing the Calendar

The Calendar opens in a monthly view, with each day displayed in the calendar grid.

Days that contain tasks show a coloured task counter. The number indicates how many tasks of that state are shown for that date.

For example, a green counter with 2 indicates two Completed tasks on that date.

A colour legend is displayed underneath the Calendar to help identify the different Task States.

Task State Colours

Tasks in the Calendar are colour-coded according to their current state. The Calendar legend includes:

  • 🔵 Assigned

  • 🔵 Accepted

  • 🟣 Transit

  • 🟢 Active

  • 🟡 Failed

  • 🟢 Completed

  • 🔴 Cancelled

  • 🟠 Scheduled

This gives workers a quick visual overview of the state of their tasks directly from the Calendar.

Moving Between Months

Use the left and right arrows beside the month at the top of the screen to move between months.

The currently displayed month and year are shown at the top of the Calendar.

Viewing Tasks for a Specific Date

Tap a date in the Calendar to open the tasks for that day.

The selected date is shown at the top of the screen, and tasks are grouped according to their Task State.

For each task, you can see key information such as its location and scheduled time.

The number displayed next to the Task State shows how many tasks are included in that group.

Opening a Task

Tap a task from the selected day's list to open its details.

The task view provides the information the worker needs to review and complete the task. Depending on the information added to the task, this can include:

  • Task type

  • Address

  • Scheduled time

  • Contact information

  • Reference number

  • Custom Fields

  • Forms

The task location is also displayed on the map.

Using the Calendar During the Working Day

The Calendar provides another way for workers to find and review their tasks alongside the standard task list and map views.

For example, a worker can open the Calendar to check which dates contain tasks, select a specific day, review the tasks scheduled for that date, and then open an individual task to see its details.

This can be particularly useful when checking upcoming or previous tasks by date rather than looking through the main task list.
