The GSMtasks Driver App allows workers to capture photos or videos as part of completing a task. This can be used to document the completed work, delivery or other relevant information directly from the task.
Photo or video capture can also be configured as a mandatory completion requirement. When it is required, the worker must add the requested media before the task can be completed.
Adding a Photo or Video to a Task
When a task is ready to be completed, open the task and proceed to the completion section.
Tap Add Photo or Video to attach visual documentation to the task.
The app will ask you to Choose the source and provide three options:
Take Photo â take a new photo using the phone's camera.
Record Video â record a new video using the phone's camera.
Choose from Library â select existing media from the phone's library.
Recording a Video
To capture a new video:
Open the task you are completing.
Tap Add Photo or Video.
Select Record Video.
Record the required video using your phone.
Add the recording to the task.
The video is then included as part of the task's completion information.
Adding Existing Media
If the required photo or video is already saved on the phone, select Choose from Library instead.
This allows you to attach existing media without capturing a new photo or recording a new video from within the app.
Completing the Task
The task completion screen can contain additional information and completion options alongside the photo or video, such as:
Signature
Notes
Task Custom Fields
Once the required task information has been provided, use Swipe to Complete to complete the task.

Mandatory Photo or Video Capture
Photo or video capture can be made mandatory from the GSMtasks back end.
When this requirement is enabled for a task, the worker must provide the required media as part of the completion process. This helps ensure that the necessary visual documentation is collected before the task is completed.
For example, this can be used when a photo or video is required as proof that a delivery or job has been carried out. Please reach out to our team if you wish to make it mandatory for your employees.
Photo or Video as Proof of Completed Work
Capturing media directly from the task keeps the documentation connected to the relevant job.
Depending on your workflow, photos or videos can be used to document things such as the delivered goods, the completed work or the condition of an item or location.
The exact completion requirements depend on how the task has been configured by your company.
