When viewing an interview, the Insights tab located to the right of the video player is an at-a-glance summary of the interview, based on the interview transcript. Insights are designed to provide key takeaways of the video in paragraph form, making it easier to recall the content of the video or quickly get up to speed on something new.

Insights are AI generated, and produced at the time that a transcript is produced for a video in an interview. The first video uploaded to an interview will be automatically transcribed, and then the Insights tab will be visible as soon as the transcript is available. Additional videos uploaded to the interview will not be transcribed, and Insights will not be generated.

Insights Account Settings
There are two account settings available at the account level that users that have License Manager access can control. To access these settings, click the 3-dot menu at the top right of the screen, and click "Account Settings." Under the general section, there are two check boxes: "Can view insights" and "Can share insights."
Can view insights: this check box controls whether or not the insights tab is available for any of the interviews in your account. When this account setting is enabled, the insights tab will be visible to all user who have custodianship of an interview, and to any users who have had the interview shared with them with the "insights" share permission checked. If this setting is disabled, insights will not be available on any interviews in your Guardify account.
Can share insights: this check box controls whether or not custodians of interviews can share the interview insights. When this account setting is enabled, it will add an "insights" share permission check box for users to be able to share the feature when the interview is shared. If this setting is disabled, insights cannot be shared with the interview, and will only be visible to users who have custodial access to the interview when "can view insights" is enabled.

Once the "Can share insights" account setting has been enabled, custodians of interviews will have an "Insights" check box on their share permissions screen when they share an interview. Sharing the transcript is also required for sharing the insights permission.

If I transfer custody of an interview to another user, can they see insights?
If the "Can view insights" account setting is enabled, yes. All users who have custody of an interview or can access an interview through the CAC interviews tab will be able to see generated interview insights.
How do I share Insights with another Guardify User?
If the "Can share insights" account setting is enabled, custodians will be able to share insights with another Guardify user by clicking the "Insights" check box on the share screen when sharing the interview.
If I edit a transcript, will the Insights change?
No. Insights are generated when the transcript is initially processed. Editing a transcript will not update the interview Insights.
Can I download Insights?
No. Insights are a view-only summary of the interview transcript. The transcript can be downloaded to be saved outside of Guardify.
