What is the Interview History?
Each forensic interview uploaded to Guardify has an interview history, which is a comprehensive chain of custody that allows transparency in access rights and accountability. Only the custodian of each interview has automatic access to the interview history, and that access can be shared with other users when the interview is shared.
This history records critical actions for each interview, including the “who” and “when” components of possession and access. If the interview is viewed multiple times by a user, this is documented in the history, and thus the custodian has access to this information. However, the history cannot show how long these views lasted or the exact time of the video that was played.
All actions associated with a forensic interview are attributed to a user and marked with a timestamp.
What does the Interview History look like?
The interview history can be accessed to the right of the interview video player as soon as an interview is opened.
Note: the history side bar can be closed and opened by clicking the circular clock icon in the far right tool bar.
There is a search field for the history that allows you to search for terms or names, as well as a filter drop down that lets you filter by action. There is also a print option in the 3-dot menu that generates a printable copy of the history for you to print out or save for your records.
File Discovery Log
In the history side bar, the 3-dot menu has a "Export File Discovery Log" option that allows users to export a PDF or CSV report of all users who have had files shared with them for that interview, and the date that they got access to each file.
Clicking "Export File Discovery Log" will give you a choice between CSV or PDF. Once that choice is made, the file will automatically download out of Guardify. That document includes all of the interview details as well as the file names, the status of each shared file, and the date of each share status for every user that has had evidence shared with them for that case. The CSV version also includes hash values.
Who has access to the Interview History?
Only the Custodian has automatic access to the interview history. When sharing an interview with others, the Custodian can actively choose to share or to NOT share the history of that interview by checking or unchecking the "history" check box on the share access screen.

Yes. Each time a video is viewed it will be logged as an individual action, and these actions are searchable by user name or action taken (accessed, viewed).
Does the interview history track whether the video is replayed in specific segments?
No. The Interview History can only track the action taken on the interview as a whole. It logs if someone initiates a video multiple times but it does not log the specific segment of the interview video that was played.
