Health Records custodians have the ability to link related health records together, or link a health record to a Forensic Interview to ensure that other users are aware of all related evidence.
To link a health record, click into the health record you would like to link. Click link in the top right corner.
This will open a pop up screen with two tabs: Linked Interviews, and Linked Health Records. Clicking into each of these tabs will show you any existing interviews or health records that this health record is currently already linked to.
To link the health record to an interviewer or to another health record, choose the corresponding tab, and click "Link Interview" or "Link Health Record" at the bottom.
The next screen will show a search tool, with a drop down box that will allow you to choose a field that you want to search by. For example if you are linking two health records for two siblings with the same last name, you can select "Patient Last Name" in the record field drop down.
Type in the box to the right what you would like to search for, then click "search."
All results that match the search term will appear. Select the result that you would like to link to by checking the box to the left. You can select multiple here. Then click "link to health record."
This record will now be linked to the selected interviews or health records that you just selected, and all users that have this record or one of its linked records or interviews shared with them will be able to see that there are other records or interviews associated with them.
In order for users to gain access to the other linked records or interviews, each one must be shared with them as well. If a user has access to the linked record or interview, there will be a clickable link available. If they do not have access, the name of the patient or interviewee will be blurred, and they will only be able to see the evaluation or interview date of the linked file.
