Pro: Time-Specific Sharing

Updated over 3 months ago

When you share a case in Guardify, you have the option of choosing the exact hour that a share will start or expire. The time that is chosen will be based on the sharer's local time zone.

To set the start and end time when you share a case, click on the clock icon in the "Access Starts" and "Access Expires" columns on the share access screen.

Clicking on the clock icon will allow you to select a specific time, in intervals of 30 minutes, that you would like access to start or end.

Once you've selected a time, the grey clock icon will turn blue, letting you know a time has been selected. Hovering over the blue clock icon will display the time that was selected.

To change a selected time or clear it back out to the default setting, click the blue clock icon again and select "edit" or "clear."

If you do not select a time, the clock will remain grey, indicating that the default time will apply.

The default start time for a share will either be immediately if you choose to give them same-day access, or 12:00am (midnight) on the day that the share is scheduled to start in the future. The default expiration time for shares is 11:59pm of the expiration date in the share, local time.

If you do not want to use time-specific sharing, the License Manager can turn this setting off in the account settings. This can be done by clicking the 3-dot menu in the top right corner of the page, and selecting "Account Settings."

Scroll down near the bottom of the list of account settings, and switch off the toggle next to "Time-specific Share Access."
