Pro: Messages

Updated over 3 months ago

Managers and Users can send messages to each other in Guardify using the Messages feature. These messages are not case specific, and can be sent and received by active users in your office.

When a new message is received, a neutral notification bubble will appear next to “Messages” in the left hand menu, with a number letting you know how many messages are waiting.

To access Messages, click “Messages” in the left hand menu. This will take you to the list of messages that have been sent or received.

New messages are indicated with a blue dot to the left of the sender’s name.

Clicking on the message will allow you to read the message and respond in line with the chat dialog box at the bottom of the chat window. The chat thread will show the most recent messages of that thread starting from the bottom-up.

You can send additional responses by typing in the bottom of the chat dialog box, and clicking the blue send button at the bottom right.

You can also send messages to groups that you have already created, or multiple people at once. However, you cannot select both an individual and a group at the same time. Each user in the group or the individual users added to a message will be able to respond within the same chat window.

You can start a new message by clicking the blue “new chat” icon at the top right corner of the messages menu.

Creating a new message will open a blank message screen to the right of the messages menu, where you can select users to send your message to by clicking into the “to” box and typing in their name. Active users that match the name you have typed will appear in a drop down list for you to choose from.

Messages will also appear in the right side bar when you are working on a case in Guardify.

You can access your messages by clicking the chat bubble icon in the right hand sidebar. Clicking this icon will open your messages to the right of your case file so that you do not have to close the case to send or respond to messages.

New messages in the right sidebar will be indicated by a red bubble.
