LE: Creating and managing folders in a case

Updated over 3 months ago

If you have your evidence organized in folders, you are able to upload those folders into Guardify from your computer to maintain your current organizational structure. Additionally, you can create new folders directly in your case files to organize your evidence into.

If you have your evidence organized into individual folders on your computer already, you can drag those folder directly into the upload box, and your folders will be maintained in your case file after the upload completes.

You can do this by dragging the files directly into the upload screen after clicking "upload" on a case:

or you can click "browse" at the top right of the upload screen, and search for the folder that you want to upload from your computer:

you are also able to create folders in a case to organize existing evidence into, or to upload future evidence into. Clicking the folder icon with the plus sign on it will create a new folder and prompt you to choose a name for it.

When you click save, you will now have a new folder that you can drag your existing files into.

You are also able to choose folders as destinations for new evidence that you upload into a case.

From the upload screen, when you upload new files, you can click “Select folder” at the bottom right of the upload window.

This will let you select between uploading to an existing folder, or creating a new folder to upload your evidence into.

When you click upload, the evidence will upload as usual, and when you access the case, the evidence that you uploaded will appear in your list of files, organized into the folders that you selected at the time of upload.

Any evidence that was uploaded and not organized into a folder will still show up as individual files.

You are able to rename or delete any folders that you created in a case by clicking the 3-dot menu to the right of the folder.

Selecting delete on a folder confirm that you would like to delete the folder as well as all contents in the folder. Type DELETE to confirm.
