LE: How To Transfer A Single Case

Transferring cases allows you to assign ownership of a case to a new user, who will then be responsible for managing the case and sharing it with other users.

To transfer a case, select "cases" from the left hand menu, and Go to the 'My Cases' tab at the top of the screen. Then select Transfer from the 3-dot menu on the Case card.

A "Select New Owner" window will appear. Search for the name of the user that you would like to transfer ownership to.

Note: If the name of the person you wish to transfer to does not appear, it means they are not a "Manager" or "Investigator" role user, or they do not have an active account.

If you want to still have access to this case in your 'shared with me' tab, keep the box checked to 'Share this case with me.'

After clicking the "Transfer" button, you will be asked to confirm the action by typing TRANSFER into the provided field.

Then, click Confirm.

Transfer complete! The new owner will receive an email notifying them that a case has been transferred to them, and can be accessed under 'My Cases.'

You will also receive an email notify you that you have transferred a case to a new owner.

If 'Share this case with me' was checked, the case will now appear in the 'Shared With Me' tab next time you log in.
