Uploading a Video to Vimeo and Setting to Public
From PC
Visit Vimeo: Go to Vimeo in your browser and sign in with your account. Create a free account if needed.
Click Upload: Find the “New Video” or “Upload” button, typically at the top right.
Select Your Video File: Choose the video from your computer.
Enter Video Details: Add a title, description, and tags. Set the privacy setting to "Public" to ensure visibility on Vetevate.
Save and Upload: Click “Save” or “Publish” to upload the video.
From Mobile (iPhone or Android)
Open Vimeo App: Download the Vimeo app from the App Store or Google Play if needed and sign in.
Tap Upload: Find the upload option (usually a plus sign or camera icon).
Choose Your Video: Select the video from your phone’s gallery.
Add Details: Enter a title, description, and set the privacy to "Public".
Upload: Tap “Upload” or “Publish” to complete the process.
Changing Vimeo Privacy Settings from Private to Public
On PC
Go to Vimeo: Sign in and navigate to your video manager or “My Videos.”
Select the Video: Click on the video you want to edit.
Edit Privacy Settings: Find the privacy settings and change from “Private” to “Public”.
Save Changes: Click “Save” to apply the settings.
On iPhone or Android
Open Vimeo App: Ensure you're signed in.
Go to Your Videos: Navigate to your video library.
Edit the Video: Tap the video, then select the edit option (often a pencil or three dots).
Change Privacy Setting: Switch from “Private” to “Public”.
Save Changes: Tap “Save” or “Done” to confirm.
Copying the Vimeo Video URL
Access Your Video: After uploading, locate the video in your Vimeo library.
Copy the Link: Use the share option to copy the video’s URL or copy it from the browser’s address bar (on PC).
Paste the URL: Use the copied URL in the Practice Video field on Vetevate.
Important Reminder
For your video to be viewable on the Vetevate platform, the privacy setting must be "Public" on Vimeo. Double-check this setting before submitting the video URL to prevent visibility issues.
