When guests check in at your property, do they need to fill in a form which collects more details about them?

If so, GuestJoy's check-in form could help guests have a faster check-in. The guest can send you all this information before they arrive at the hotel!

Where is the check-in form?

Guests will see a button in the Concierge:

They will then see the check-in form; here's an example:

Once they complete the form and submit it, the data will be emailed to your property. It will be sent to the address(es) listed under the setting Settings > Emails > Notifications > Check-in messages. If that field is empty, it will be sent to your main hotel email address instead.

Customising the form

It's easy to add as many questions as you need, and have a variety of answer types. Let's have a look at how it all works.

  1. This switch switches the check-in form on and off.

  2. There is a tab for each language active in your system. Don't forget to add question text in each language!

The basics of adding a question

  1. There is a tab for each language active in your system. Don't forget to add question text in each language!

  2. This is where you will write the question

  3. This is where you can change the answer type; for example, text, date, multiple choice, etc. More on this below.

  4. This setting adds this question to those asked of other guests on the reservation

  5. If this question must be answered, use this setting to make it mandatory. The guest will not be able to submit the form unless they have completed this question

  6. Save your changes and return to the form

Answers that can be automatically filled in

There are 5 questions which can be filled in automatically based on the reservation data; these are First Name, Last Name, Date of Arrival, Date of Departure, and Nationality. These are the first 5 options in the Answer type field.

Simply click and drag to rearrange the questions to be in your required order.
