Introduction – What does this module offer?
With the "Green Option" module, you give your guests the opportunity to participate in more sustainable hotel management and save resources.
Feature Overview
These features are available in the Green Option module:
Settings: Create new entries, adjust general settings for Green Options, and set response options, notifications, and times.
Export: Export a pre-selected list of entries.
How to set up the Green Option module
Open the backend area Guestapp > GreenOption.
Click on Settings in the top right.
Enter the following points in the respective fields:
Title: The name of the function. A default option is available if you do not want to create your own title.
Intro: A description of the function. A default option is available if you do not want to create your own text.
Upload an image for the function.
Set the Answer options ("Yes"/"No") for your guests by entering text in the second field — for example, "Please only change towels" or "Please only change bed linen" — and select a response option from the dropdown menu at the very front.
By clicking on the gray field on the right, you can choose a color for the entry via a color scheme if desired.Use the trash can icon to delete entries if needed.
Under Options, set the time until which your guest can request cleaning. You can also choose how notifications are sent to you — as a summary, as a direct notification, or both.
How to export content
Open the backend area Guestapp > GreenOption.
Click on Export in the top right.
Select the period for which you want to export data.
Under "Filter Type," specify which response type ("Yes" or "No") you want to export. Leaving this field empty means no filter is applied.
Under "Filter Options," specify the exact answer option (e.g., "Please only change towels") to export separately. Leaving this empty means no filter is applied here either.
The Green Option module from your guests' perspective
For your guests, the Green Option module works as follows:
Guests can decide whether they want to opt out of room cleaning.
If guests click "Yes," they need to provide their name and room number.
Once done, the guest receives a message confirming that their selection has been successfully submitted.
Depending on your notification settings, you will receive either an immediate email with the guest's choice, a summary later, or both.

Can I choose other answer options besides Yes or No?
Can I choose other answer options besides Yes or No?
No, because guests should only be able to select whether they want room service or not, and to what extent. However, you are welcome to create a larger selection of possible answer options.
