Introduction – What does this module do for me?

The Shop module helps you digitally present and sell additional services, products, and offers. It ensures a modern, contactless shopping experience – directly integrated into your Guestnet.

Feature Overview

These functions are available in the Shop module:

  • Create and manage categories for structured product sorting

  • Create, edit, and delete products, including price and offer details

  • Visual design through images (JPG/PNG)

  • Highlight function to prominently display individual products

  • Offer price and sold-out marking

  • Change the order of products via drag-and-drop

  • Deactivate individual shop items without deleting them

  • Customize the introduction text

  • “Show Only” function to display specific categories

  • Personalize the order form (e.g., room number as “Chalet”)

  • Integration of the content via widget on other channels, for example the hotel website.

How to set up the Shop module

  1. In the backend, open the section Guestapp > Shop

  2. Create one or more product categories via “Categories”
    ​

  3. Add products via “+ New Entry”:

    • Title, description (multilingual)

    • Define price and, if applicable, offer price
      ​

    • Product images (required field)

    • Assign the product to a category

  4. Optional:

    • Mark the product as highlight using the star icon
      ​

    • Mark as sold out under “€ Price”
      ​

    • Deactivate the product to hide it
      ​

  5. Use the drag-and-drop function to change the product order
    ​

  6. Under “Settings”, you can display an intro text before the product assortment
    ​

  7. For targeted display of specific categories:

    Example link: https://professional.guest.net/shop?showonlycategories=1258,1259
    Separate category IDs with a comma

  8. Optional: Change the label “Room number” in the order form via “Data Base”

FAQ about the module

Do products need to have an image?

Yes, products can only be published with an image (JPG or PNG required).

Can I hide products without deleting them?

Yes, by clicking the switch under “Published”, a product can be deactivated.

How do I mark a product as sold out?

In the product editor, activate “Mark product as sold out” under the price field.

Can I highlight products?

Yes, by clicking the star icon at the top right in the product editor, items can be marked as highlights – including promotional period and discount.

Is the product order in the shop adjustable?

Yes, via drag-and-drop in the backend – the order is also reflected in the frontend.

How do I personalize the order form (e.g., “Chalet” instead of “Room”)?

In the “Master Data” section, the label for the room number can be customized.

How can I integrate the shop widget into my website?
