Introduction – What does this module do for me?

The Webcam module helps you integrate current weather images from your region directly into your Guestnet platform. It provides a modern, visual experience – ideal for on-site inspiration or setting the mood before arrival.

Function overview

These features are available in the Webcams module:

  • Integration of different webcam types: Feratel, Panomax, still images

  • Individual titles for each language version

  • Preview function to check display

  • Option to highlight individual webcams

  • Custom sorting via drag & drop

  • Activate and deactivate individual webcams without deleting

How to set up the Webcams module

  1. Open the section Guestapp > Webcams in the backend

  2. Click on “+ New entry” at the top left

  3. Enter a title for each language version

  4. Select the appropriate webcam type and enter the data:

    • Feratel:

      • Open the desired webcam page

      • Right-click on the video → “Open video in new tab”

      • Copy the 5-digit webcam ID from the URL

      • Select “Feratel” in the left field, insert the ID on the right
        ​

    • Panomax:

      • Open the desired webcam page

      • Copy the URL
        ​

      • Select “Panomax” in the left field, insert the link on the right
        ​

    • Still images:

      • Copy the image address
        ​

      • Insert the URL into the “Image URL” field

  5. Click on “Save” to store the webcam

FAQ about the module

Can I see how the webcam looks before publishing?

Yes, after saving you can access the preview from the right sidebar. Reopen the entry to see the preview.

How do I edit an existing webcam?

Under Webcams, click the edit icon next to the desired webcam. You can then change all settings as when adding and save again.

Can I set a webcam as a highlight?

Yes, click on the star icon in the respective webcam settings. Only highlighted webcams will display the title on the Guestnet page.

How can I change the order of the webcams?

Go to Webcams > Settings, then select “Custom” under sorting


You can then rearrange the webcams by dragging them into the desired order

How do I deactivate a webcam without deleting it?

Click on the activation icon next to the respective webcam. If it is green, the webcam is visible to guests. If it is grey, the webcam is deactivated – but still saved and can be reactivated at any time.
