Introduction – What does this module offer me?

The Notifications module helps you inform your guests in real time about current offers, events or important information. It provides a modern, immediate communication experience – directly integrated into your Guestnet platform.


Function overview

These functions are available in the Notifications module:

  • Scheduling of time-limited notifications for specific days

  • Multilingual content including link and link text

  • Integration of internal Guestnet links (e.g. for treatments or news articles)

  • Visibility of notifications in Guestnet (bell icon with red dot)

  • Optional browser notifications as a one-time pop-up on the smartphone


How to set up the Notifications module

  1. Open the section Communication > Notifications in the backend

  2. Create a new notification

  3. Enter the period and, if needed, the weekdays on which the notification should appear

  4. Add a description for each language version, optionally a link and a text for the link
    ➤ You can also insert an internal Guestnet link (e.g. for treatments, events, menus)

  5. Optional: Activate the Push Notification for a one-time pop-up on the smartphone

  6. Click "Save" to save the notification


FAQ about the module

Where do guests see the notifications?

In Guestnet – recognizable at the top right via the bell icon with red dot.

What is a Push Notification?

A one-time pop-up on the guest’s smartphone (only if the setting is activated). The notification appears only once per message.

Can I reactivate an existing notification?

No – to send a new browser notification, a new notification must be created.
