Introduction

How to communicate your Guestnet to your guests in the most effective and impactful way:

  • Download and provide QR codes for the homepage and individual modules

  • Automatic display of Guestnet upon Wi-Fi login

  • Integration of Guestnet on touchscreens, TVs, and tablets

  • Special display for classic info screens without touch functionality

Optional: GDPR compliance, mobile optimization, automations


How to communicate your Guestnet:

  • Open the backend and go to Guestapp > Communication

  • Navigate to the available QR codes and download the ones you want to use (homepage, menu, weekly program, reading corner, drinks menu, etc.)

  • Modules that are not activated appear grayed out – their QR codes are not usable

  • Share the Guestnet URL with guests (e.g., in the booking confirmation: betriebxy.guest.net)

  • Set the Guestnet URL as the homepage in your property’s Wi-Fi network (via your technician)

  • Use TVs, tablets, or touchscreens as digital entry points

  • For classic info screens without touch functionality, a special visual layout is available (e.g., four-section view showing weather, webcams, daily program, and daily offers)

  • You can also place your Guestnet URL on key cards or in-room guest directories


FAQ about the module

Does the guest need to be logged in to use the QR codes?

No, access is possible without login – the QR codes link directly to public content or module-specific pages.

Can I only use QR codes for activated modules?

No, QR codes always link to the public view of the respective module. Therefore, they also work if the module is archived in the backend. The only requirement is that the linked page remains publicly accessible – an active backend configuration is not strictly necessary.

How does Guestnet appear when the guest connects to the hotel Wi-Fi?

As soon as the guest connects to the hotel Wi-Fi, Guestnet appears automatically – provided the Guestnet URL has been set as the homepage by your technician.
