The Guide Slack integration syncs interviewer photos and job titles to Guide from your Slack instance, as well as enables interview RSVPs and reminders via Slack.
⚠️ Note: Guide's Slack integration is not yet published in the Slack App Directory. Based on how your Slack Admins have setup the app approval workflow for your Slack instance can change who within your organization needs to approve this integration. Please reach out to your IT team or support@guide.co with any questions.
Setup
Guide Admins can to https://app3.guide.co/settings/integrations to setup the Slack integration.
Click on "Connect" under the integration block
A pop up window will appear, select "Add to Slack"
The integration will ask for the following permissions from your Slack workspace: "View people in your Workspace, View Email Addresses of People in your Workspace."
🔌 Once connected, Guide will:
Auto-populate new interviewer profiles by automatically syncing interviewer photos, names and titles from Slack. This makes it easier to send candidate portals without asking for the interview team to update their pictures or profile info. As new users join your Slack instance, their names and photos will also populate for use in future Guides.
Update your Slack integration to enable new features, including interviewer RSVPs and interview reminders
Click the "Update available" button from the integrations page in your Guide account:
Click "Add to Slack" button when prompted:
Follow the instructions in Slack to request approval from your organization's Slack App Manager:
Once approved, you'll see the Slack tile within your Guide integrations page turn green to indicate that it's successfully connected:
