Okta is a Single sign-on (SSO) user authentication tool that enables users to securely access multiple applications and services using just one set of credentials. Guide currently only supports OIDC for SSO. This article outlines how to get setup with Okta as your SSO provider for accessing Guide.

Enabling Okta

Before getting setup with Okta please get in touch with your Customer Success Manager who will provide you with the workspace name to use.

  1. Search for Guide in the Okta App Integration Catalog and select it to install within your Okta instance by clicking Add.

  2. When prompted for workspace name, enter the name provided to you by your CSM.

  3. Once installed navigate to the Sign on tab

  1. Copy the Client ID, Client secret and the link to OpenID Provider Metadata (rich click ‘OpenID Provider Metadata’ and choose copy link) and provide these to your CSM. Please note that your client secret should be treated as a password, so do not send this via insecure or public channels. Your CSM can help with a secure way to send this.

Once your CSM has everything they need they will setup access and provide confirmation when you are ready to access Guide via Okta.
